I'm looking for herbal remedy for atopic dermatitis without side effects?

Doesn't exist: Many people believe that "herbal" means "safe" and "no side effects", and manufacturers encourage that myth. But many substances, such as poison ivy, are "herbal", and you don't want them anywhere near their skin. Furthermore, the product with no possible side effects, herbal or not, does not exist. How effective is candibec to skin rash in infants? My babys pedia recomend it,

Trust ur (kid's) doc: Candibec appears to be a combination steroid cream available in the philippines. It only works if the rash is responsive to it. While it can suppress immune response to infection, it won't get rid of infection. So your pediatrician must have a good reason to recommend it rather than antifungal or other cream. In other words, need to know cause of skin rash. Get 2nd opinion if you don't trust doc. ...Read more

My baby has what appears to be a drool rash on her chest, i've tried lotions, ointments, powder & she wears a bib 24/7. But nothing works. ?

Possible causes: You are right in thinking that drool can irritate the skin. It is common for babies to have irritant rashes on the chin, neck, and chest as a result. Vaseline normally works well if used frequently. For an area which stays damp, a yeast rash is also possible. I would suggest checking with her pediatrician and get their input or have her seen if it persists. ...Read more

Dermatologist time: Persistent chapped lips may be lip eczema, which can be treated like skin eczema, using hydrocortisone cream, plus Vaseline or Aquaphor to moisturize. Sometimes, lipsticks or lip sunscreen chemicals are causing allergic reactions on lips. Other times, a person is a primary lip-licker (it's her habit). Address the cause: Seems the treatments you have tried are not addressing the cause. One common cause of rashes is food allergies- common allergens include dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, citrus & almonds- try avoiding for 2 weeks and add back one at a time. You might also be deficient in b vitamins, essential fatty acids or zinc. If these measures don't help consult a holistic md- see http://www.Abihm.Org/search-doctors. ...Read more
