Neck: Yes. Myelomalacia can cause all of the above symptoms if in the cervical spine region. At upper levels would be less likely to cause arm symptoms than mid to lower levels. Possibly: Yes it could, but so could other more serious issues like a pinched nerve in the neck. Even if it is a muscle spasm, the more important question is what is the cause for e spasms.
