Red Wine Insomnia
No: The active ingredient in red wine is Resvatrol, which comes from grape skin, This is what is touted to give red wine its antioxidant health benefits. Alcohol is a toxin to the liver. The damage done by the alcohol in red wine far outweighs any health benefits from its antioxidants. Therefore I cannot recommend red wine as anything that is beneficial to your health. Get a resvatrol supplement.
Antioxidants: Red wine (a little better that other wines) has the antioxidants (flavonoids and resveratrol) from the grape and the positive effects of alcohol in small amounts. No more of two cups a day for males and one for women and no more than five times a week helps to prevent hear attacks. Http://circ. Ahajournals. Org/content/111/2/e10.full.
Has antioxidants: There is evidence that those who have about 1 drink of alcohol a day have better health than those who don't drink at all or who drink larger amounts, with lower risk of heart disease, cancer & alzheimer's. Red wine may be the healthiest choice because it contains proanthocyanidans, which are antioxidant flavonoids. See http://www. Huffingtonpost. Sulfite allergy: Wine does contain sulfites, and you could have developed an allergy to them. This is most likely true if you already have a known sulfa allergy. Or, you could have passed out and/or fell asleep with your head tilted lower than your feet and more blood drained to your face overnight.....
Actually none. 4 oz.: Wine (maximum) per day correlate with? Ed cardiovascular disease in "observational" studies which have been done in France, less so Italy. However these are not the standard of evidence: prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trials. Observational studies in other countries have not shown same benefit. All alcoholic beverages are fermented carbohydrates (i.e. sugars).
None: Alcohol is a poison and never did anybody any good, ever. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
Well.............: Health benefits of alcohol intake include wine, beer and liquor (not including what you mix it in). Red wine is not significantly better. Studies show that people who drink 1-2 standard size beverages a day have better cardiovascular outcomes than those who do not. One standard beverage is 12 oz beer, 5 oz wine, or 1.5 oz liquor. Any day with more than 2 is not as good, so more is not better.
