My 2.5 yo has some redness under his eyes. Is that the same as those when older people have black under eyes?
Possibly: Redness under the eyes of a small child could be many issues. The most common would be allergies or any other source of eye irritation leading to chronic rubbing. Probably not : If he was has having a reaction to the Tdap the time frame is off. It usually occurs 4hrs - 48 hrs post dose. For the MMRV vaccine that is a live virus vaccine. So if you're getting a reaction it would be because you're having a viremia 7-9 days post dose. See a dermatologist: What you are describing is eczema of the skin under the eyes. It could be cured with a little topical steroid over the red area and not in the eye.
