Allergy: Could be allergy to enviormental factors or seasonal allergy. Makeup can also be a factor as the amount of metals, especially nickel can vary from one batch to another and can cause the changes in the skin. See an ophthalmologist or a dermatologist.

Blepharitis: You should see your eye doctor right away to see if your symptoms are caused by an infection, dermatitis, an inflammation of the skin around the eye, or blepharitis, a condition where you can build up crusting and/or mucous around the eyes due to dysfunctional glands in the eyelids. The condition you have will determine the proper treatment.

How do I treat a swollen eyelid that is red, itchy, and dry?

Blepharitis: Most common cause of your signs and symptoms is blepharitis. The cause of that is closure of glands that secret oil in the eye lashes. The stale oil then becomes toxic and causes these signs. You need to see an eye md for diagnosis and treatment. No need for systemic steroids.

Blepharitis?: It could be a local inflammation of your eyelid, termed blepharitis. Pl see attached link for additional details. You may also have allergies whch can have eye-related symptoms. I would use Zyrtec (cetirizine) and saline ophthalmic solution to wash the affected eye. If the symptoms persist for 48 hrs, you should see your primary physician. Feel better!

Itchy red eyelid: Makeup, because it is reused can harbor organisms, so would get new makeup. Also may just be a new onset allergy to a component of the makeup or new onset eczema, rarely herpes/zoster. Would avoid make up x 1 week. Try systane eye drops, zyrtec (cetirizine) x 1.Would follow up with doctor /urgent may need antibiotics or other prescription medication, with eyelids we are careful as goes into eye.

Are there autoimmune disorders that causes red, swollen, inflamed and itchy eyelids and a rash?

Are there autoimmune disorders that causes red, swollen, inflamed and itchy eyelids and a rash?

Atopic Dermatitis: Atopic dermatitis, an immune/allergic disorder, can produce eczema on the skin, as well as red swollen itchy eyelids, and a rash. However, a simple contact allergy, unrelated to an immune disorder can produce similar findings. See your ophthalmologist and perhaps an allergist as well to look into it.

How can I cure red, itchy, swollen, slightly bumpy eyelids/area around eye?

How can I cure red, itchy, swollen, slightly bumpy eyelids/area around eye?

Eyedrops: Check to see if you are using a new skin product, as this can cause a reaction like this. If this has just popped up spontaneously, you can try using artificial tears 4x/day in both eyes. If that doesn't work, there is a OTC drop: 'Zatidor', which works well. You can also use Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) but this will cause drowsiness. If these therapies do not work, consider seeing an eye doctor.

I have a bad flu, UTI and an itchy red swollen bottom inner eyelid?!is this some sort of infection? No pain , just itchy. What is it and what should I do?

Viral conjunctivitis: Is the most likely cause of your symptoms. The flu virus got into your eyes. If your vision is not affected then just keep the eyes clean and comfortable with chilled artificial tears (but not "get the red out" drops). Change your pillowcase and towels frequently and wash your hands often since you are contagious until the redness is gone.
