I woke up the other night with 4 what looks like bites but also white so welts but swollen red and itchy but I've had a few on my leg before they alwa?
Hives vs bites: The question is whether these are bites or hives indicating an allergic response to something internal or external. If the welts clear after a day only to appear elsewhere, this would favor an allergic reaction to food, medication, etc rather than insect bites which last several days at each site. Antihistamines relieve hives and the itching of bites. See your MD as needed. ...Read more

I have just a large red lump on my leg, hard to the touch and very itchy, and very large. Swollen and red. Should I be alarmed?
Have it seen: It is difficult to diagnose issues with the skin without having them seen by a physician. As a "very large, swollen, red lump" is not normal on the leg it would be a good idea to have a physician look at it. The fact that the area itches would make me suspicious of possibly it starting out as an insect bite; however, a secondary infection requiring antibiotics is certainly possible. ...Read more

I think you are on: the right track thinking that this could be Athlete's Foot. Making sure, probably by seeing a Podiatrist or Foot Specialist, might be your best first step. Consider a Dermatology consult, too. Good wishes:) ...Read more

Acute athlete's foot: The first thing that comes to mind is that this is one of the presentations of acute athlete's foot. Use drying soaks (epsom salts or dilute vinegar) and a topical antifungal...
