Unlikely: I assume only the eyelid is involved and mention of the iris is only for localizing. Having a stye on the inside of the lid can be quite uncomfortable since it seems to poke the eye. Try applying warm soaks several times a day. Antibiotics are not always necessary. ...Read more

Probably not.: This sounds like a sub conjunctival hemorrhage, a broken blood vessel underneath the thin transparent membrane over the white of the eye. Broken blood vessel: Most likely you had a subconjunctival hemorrhage or broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. These can happen if you lifted something heavy or if you were straining.
