Hi iv got red spots size of small buttons on my soft palate in my mouth but before that happened a week ago I had a ulcer on the palatine is it cancer?

Probably not

Palate
It is not possible to answer this question without a clinical exam. However, this may be a fungal infection, such as yeast (thrush) or a another condition altogether. I strongly recommend you see your primary care physician or an ENT fro an evaluation. If these lesions persist, there may be a need to take a small sample (biopsy) to confirm the diagnosis.

I have a non painful red spot on the hard palate of the roof of my mouth. Could this be caused by trauma? Or something more serious

Yes it could.

So, obviously we would need to get it examined ASAP. Without a photograph, it is impossible to give you any information that is relevant to you. Good luck!

Tiny bumps on soft palate, drainage March 2013, bumps on the back of throat, throat isnt sore, white spot on uvula with red outline. Possible HPV?

HPV

Stringio
That is certainly possible and would recommend seeing a dentist or oral surgeon. The spot on the uvula could be Herpes, Coxsackie virus, or a variety of other possibilities.

Dr. Meng K. Syn answered:

I had a single small red/white bump on soft palate for a couple days and its gone. In HIV mouth sores, would there only be one or would it be more?

More than one likely

Hiv
There are more than one type or mouth sores usually related to HIV. Most have more to do with being immunosupressed- like candidiasis (ulcers caused by yeast infections), cold and herpetic ulcers as well as leukoplakia ("hairy tounge"). The onset of a single small lesion that has healed is not an indicator that you have contracted HIV. If you are still fearful, the best remedy is testing.

I have a sore on the soft palate...red in center and surrounded by white. I had burned my mouth with hot coffee or tomato sauce. What could this be?

Aphthous

Head-mouth
You have a canker sore or aphthous ulcer which should disappear in 7-10 days.

Dr. Meng K. Syn answered:

I have red spots on my soft palate and i dont feel any pain what would it be???is it dangerous??

Not likely

Palate
The red spots are probably palatal petechiae--capillary hemorrhages or can be caused by smoking--nicotinic stomatitis. It would be best to see a dentist to explore the cause of this condition. Most of these conditions are benign or resolve on there own however, some conditions that cause these spots may be more serious such as infectious disorders. See your dentist
