Spot on toe: JOANNE W ~ do you have ticks in your area? Do you have any cases of Lyme disease there? This lesion needs to be seen to accurately diagnosed, but if you have known Lyme in the area, this could be a target lesion. Go and see a doc to be sure.

Maybe: Very hard to say without seeing or knowing what the bug is. Most times, a "bug bite" that is not witnessed is a spontaneous cellulitis, which is a superficial infection of the skin and soft tissue. If this was an actual bug bite, it may be reaction to the venom, which would depend on what bug it is (classic is the brown recluse spider bite). See a doctor. ...Read more

Irritation: It is likely that the redness you see is residual irritation from the corn/callus remover. Protect the skin from the sun. I'm not sure we can: put these two things together. The red spot is MOST likely a skin condition: eczema, psoriasis, etc. but another cause is allergies, perhaps to a bug bite. Have you been in a tick area? I suppose you must consider Lyme Disease, though this is much less common than many people think. I think the spot and numbness can both be watched; if the spots enlarge/spread or numbness persists, see your Doctor ...Read more
