If I have a bumpy red rash around thighs and glútes , but they don't hurt or cut open, only itch, could it be herpes anywhay? Or some sore of fungus

Having painful itchy red rash on inner thighs/butt cheeks for 2mo. Cracked skin & cut in area b/t v/anus. Used Lomexin Crème 2%, it mostly cleared up.
Groin Rash: Sounds like you had a fungal infection. If the rash is still persisting after two weeks please see your doctor. They will need to evaluate you for other types of infection. Best to have exam: It would be best to have the rash seen by DERM or your DR. Then a accurate DX will be make, sometimes scraping of the rash will be needed to confirm DX, and this can only be done after an exam. Nothing serious: At your age an itchy rash in that area is either a 'contact' rash of irritation or a fungal rash. Usually relatively easy to differentiate on exam, but if all else is normal for you health-wise try Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) cream followed by Hydrocortisone twice daily for a few days. Try to keep area dry, wear "breathable" (cotton) undergarments, and try a topical antifungal cream (you can get them over-the-counter) twice a day.
