Probably are bites.: I couldn't be sure because I haven't taken a History and Physical on you but your description favors bug bites if there are no blisters and if they do not follow a nerve dermatone pattern. ...Read more

Possible: looking at the rash in the picture without actually seeing the patient will suspected a viral lesion condyloma contagiosum. This can occur in patients with weakened immune system if you took Prednisone. It will spread by scratching it. It will usually resolve after a long time without treatment. PHN: Is this the place you had Shingle? If it is Unilateral ( only on one side of the back) most likely Post Herpetic Neuralgia. Can be treated with Topical Capsaicin (OTC) by mouth Antiinflammatory like Advil and Aleve (naproxen). Rx strength Lidocaine Patch may help and in worse case you may need Stronger pain medicine. ...Read more
