Rash on top of outer ear and behind. - redness -swelling -warm to touch -burning -itching -pain -small bumps large knot slightly under lobe?
I have this dry rash like things behind my ears and lobes down to the side of my neck just above my shoulders and my cheeks its itchy but its not red?

I feel tender pain just below my left ear lobe. Could it be for swollen lymph node. However there are no signs or rashes in that particular area.
Topical antibiotics: If you wear earrings then the first thing to do is to remove the earring, cleanse the area and apply topical antibiotic. ? sebaceous cyst?: You should have your PCP or a dermatologist look at this.... it may be a lymph node, or it may be a gland in the skin that gets inflamed and infected on and off (a sebaceous cyst). Your parotid gland is IN FRONT of your ear, so I doubt it is a problem with that. But having a doctor examine it is your best course of action. Vasodilation: I do not know of any correlation between bright red ear lobes and hypertension.
