Red Itchy Skin On Eyelids
I have flakey bumpy red itchy skin on eyelids for the last 3 years. Went to dr. He did not know what it was. Gave me fungal cream not helping. Help?
Eyelids sensitive: Eyelid skin is very delicate so it reacts easily to chemicals in the air or surface contact. Your eyelids could be irritated by or allergic to products used around your eyes, on your face or scalp, or things you handle. Seborrheic dermatitis can also cause scaly, red eyelids. You could try a brief course of hydrocortisone, used sparingly or be evaluated by a derm. Nail polish/epoxy have caused. ...Read more
Many causes but: I would review the topical medications or make up you may have applied to the area as well as soap or other creams or lotions. If this gets worse or involves the eye, i would contact your primary care physician. It could also be eczema. ...Read more

Ive developed a small red itchy rash on both cornesr of my eyelids. My eyebrows sometimes itch as well. I have VERY sensitive skin, what should I do?
Sounds like eczema: I'd start with hydrocortisone to the affected areas twice a day. You can get the OTC 1% ointment at any pharmacy or market. The key is to apply once after a 10-15 minute shower, and a separate time later in the day. A moisturizer can also help. Vanicream, Eucerin, Cetaphil...these are all good options for a moisturizer. It can go on separately from the medication. This should help! ...Read more

Hard knots in both clavicles red itchy skin flu like symptoms but no flu or injury getting bigger?
See a doctor: With flu like symptoms and a rash, I would seek urgent evaluation. I would at least call your doctor or go to an Urgent Care center. Because symptoms seem to be progressing I would not waste time. ...Read more

I have itchy skin every where no dry skin and when it itches it starts to burn and get red but no bumps or rash what is this ?
Well: It gets red and itches then goes away, no rash or bumps. It could be a rash or what is called idiopathic urticaria, release of inflammation due to stress. Oddlly enough sometimes an h-2 bkocker like tagamet for the the stomach can help. It may be allergic reaction or something else and i would not avoid seeing a doctor. I would trey Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night and tagamet is pretty cheap. Look up idiop. ...Read more
