Dry skin eczema: Nummular (coin shaped) eczema is extremely common on the lower legs. Dry skin starts the condition, and scratching (excoriation) worsens the itch and rash. Hi I injected my self with an Im injection in my buttock. I developed a painful hard lump, now is about 5 in long, no redness or temp?
You probably introduced infection along with the injection. What did you inject and why? For the short term you need treatment for the self induced injury and for the long term you may need counseling to straighten out whatever made you do this self destructive thing.

Had intramuscular injections in buttock on fri. Pain is radiating down leg. Never had this problem before. No redness. Hard to walk.
Shot in butt: Well this is interesting - firstly if the shot was done right then we have to assume its due to swelling and perhaps some bleeding putting pressure on nerve. If the injection was not done right then it may indicate damage to the sciatic nerve. I would give the person who did the injection a call. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have a small pink-red dry patch of skin that is not itchy or painful on my lower buttock, is it a rash? What could be the cause?
It depends.: You might have been born with it. This happens sometimes, and is usually called a port wine stain, or simply a discoloration of the skin due to lack of pigment. It also might be a lesion/cut/bite that healed long ago and stayed red. If you have others, it could be a skin condition from some disease. It would be wise to see your doctor to be sure, or just be aware of it if you are ok otherwise. ...Read more
I have a small rash on my lower hip/ upper left buttock. It doesn't itch, but it is red and painful. is it just a rash or something more?
I have red itchy rash on my right buttock. I sit all day and is that a cause. Iam a receptionist. It comes and goes. does not itch all the time.
Rash: Rashes are impossible to diagnose over the computer. Usually sitting is not a risk factor for developing a rash, unless you are very old (It states you are 106?), and you get skin "breakdown" from not moving around (similar to a "bed sore"). When the rash is visible, have a dr. look at it to give you a diagnosis and any necessary treatment. Best wishes. ...Read more
