New problem?: If these symptoms are new, it sounds like you may have a throat infection. Inflammation of the tissues in the throat can lead to referred ear pain also. If you are having fevers, are unable to swallow, or pain is increasing I would see your physician for evaluation and to rule out a strep infection that would require antibiotics. ...Read more
