The eyelid skin: can suffer from the same ailments common to other parts of the body and some unique ones as well due to influence from tear film at times. In this case it could be a hypertrophic lesion that would benefit from topical therapy versus inflammatory & would also benefit from the same. Low levels: Surely if your doctor has told you of low blood test values she/he has prescribed appropriate treatment. If that treatment is not working you need to go back to your doctor. By the way, how do you know you have low blood sugar and is any doctor looking after it? Have you seen an Endocrinologist about this? ...Read more

Possibly: Redness under the eyes of a small child could be many issues. The most common would be allergies or any other source of eye irritation leading to chronic rubbing. The most common causes in your age group are dry eye and mild radiation burns from too much computer use. Artificial tears, sleep, and a radiation reducing screen over your monitor should solve your problem. Allergy is a possibility, but you would probably have itchy eyes. ...Read more
