Folliculitis: Folliculitis is often seen in otherwise healthy people, it's easily curable in most cases and frequently clears on its own without treatment, though it may require ongoing maintenance therapy. Antibacterial washes such as benzoyl peroxide are often used to treat folliculitis, and resistant cases may need antibiotic pills to clear the skin. ...Read more
Best to see doctor: Hard to say without more information to help pin down the cause, and even then, rashes can be tough to diagnose without seeing them! i think i'd recommend a visit to your doctor. In the meantime, for the itching cool compresses, or lotions containing calamine or pramoxine would be good over-the-counter anti-itch treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Dry skin eczema: Nummular (coin shaped) eczema is extremely common on the lower legs. Dry skin starts the condition, and scratching (excoriation) worsens the itch and rash. Usually, a topical steroid is required, often a strong prescription steroid. If your condition worsens with steroids, ringworm (tinea corporis) must be ruled out. In general, i recommend shorter warm showers (not hot), nonscented lotion daily. ...Read more
I have derm appt - but in mean time I have red bumpy ITCHY rash on part of lower right leg. It's now started on left. What could this be?!
Could be minor...: Dermatology is all about appearance. I am guessing it is an erythematous papule ("red bumpy"), which honestly could be an insect bite, or contact dermatitis, both of which are common. However you mention pregnancy; there is a condition called PUPPP: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy, which are terribly itchy red bumps! See what the dermatologist thinks! ...Read more

What causes an itchy rash with little bumps on top of my feet and redness on lower legs? Also bumps are not itching anymore, now they are dry bumps.
Allergic reaction: Usually rashes on the top of your feet are casued by some type of allergic reaction or contact dermatits. With your lower legs involved i would rule out edema/swelling as an issue as well. Your socks or shoes could be creating the rash on your feet more so if they got wet while wearing them or if you have changed soaps or detergents. If the rash persists or returns get examined by a doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

A red itchy rash on the inner side of my leg near the groin area for over 1 month. it decreases when i take anti biotics. i want a permanent solution?
Erythrasma: I assume you used actual antibiotics and not antifungals . You could have Erythrasma which is a bacterial infection that just like fungus affects areas of moist skin. The rash may have well defined borders and may become brownish. Topical and sometimes oral antibiotics are necessary. Keeping the area dry is the way to prevent this. Check that you are in good health for example no diabetes ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can someone tell me what this flat red non-itchy rash on my legs is about? Noticed it over a month ago. Was on arms and went away but still on legs.
I have a bright red (and itchy!) rash on the back of both my legs, between my butt and knee. It looks like small bug bite like bumps. Not spreading.?
Many causes: Rashes are challenging even when the doctor can see them, so even harder in this forum. Small red bumps on both legs make me think of reactions to clothes, or something in contact with that area on both sides. Bites can do it. It could be heat rash, a reaction of the skin to warmth and occlusion from pressure. Some drug reactions can do that as can conditions like eczema and psoriasis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
