Red Blotchy Swollen Lips
The past 4 days I have woken with swollen lips. The swelling goes down within a couple hours, but my lips remain red, raw, and hurt. What are causes?

It could, be something as simple as a viral infection, or something more serious and related to a medical condition.

For otc (over the counter) medication, most allergists prefer zyrtec (cetirizine) because it has more anti-inflamatory properties and lasts 24 hours. Possibly to toothpaste or lip balm or cosmetic. Don't use ANY toothpaste (you can use peroxide) or other products on your face anywhere near your lips. You can use vaseline if you want on your lips at any time.
