I have been ta been taking phenoxymethylpenicillin for four days now I have a flat red blotchy rash on hands and feet and it burns i'm also 12wks preg?
???allergic rxn???: Penicillins are safe in pregnancy but you could still be allergic to it. I would stop taking it; take 25mg of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) (it may make you sleepy, so don't drive); call & show rash to your ob. If having shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, call 911 immediately & inform your ob. There are many antibiotics which can safely be substituted in pregnancy. Let your OB decide if allergy or just a rxn. ...Read more

If severe redness spreads, or fever develops, have your physician examine and treat you. ...Read more
I have a rash under my arms and on my hands and wrists. It's not itchy, just red and blotchy. Could this be part of tonsilitis?
Developed rash on the backs of my hands, starting at the middle knuckle and stopping just before the wrist. Rash is blotchy red, possibly mildly swollen. The backside of the palm looks like tiny red squiggly lines (raised blood vessels?) rash doesn't itch
