Dr. Tariq Niazi answered:

Sharp localized pain behind knee/posterior calf that hurts each time I take a step. No warmth or redness. Could this be a blood clot?

Possibly yes. Get --

Blood
yourself checked out by your PCP or go to an ER if a blood clot is suspected, so a Doppler scan be done to exclude/confirm it. Generally its due to a pulled muscle, sprained ligament, or a rupture of a cyst behind the knee. These are more commonly seen. Good Luck & Happy Holidays.

Dr. Bennett Werner answered:

I have been shortness of breath for a few days and now am having pain in my calf. No swelling or redness does this sound like a blood clot?

NO

Vasospasm
First, the type of blood clot that goes into the lungs usually arises in the pelvis, not leg. Second, the main symptom of a leg clot is swelling (which may also be sore). Finally, you need risk factors: birth control pills, recent surgery, recent fracture, long trip with immobilization, cancer, or a clotting disorder.

Colitis

Feces
Sounds like colitis. There are many different forms which all have if fervent treatments. However, depending on your age, blood from the rectum can also be a sign of olon cancer. Sounds like you need a colonoscopy. See your physician ASAP.

1yr old has a hard time passing stools for over month. Went to 2 doctors appts. Both claimed cuts in the anus. today he had a tiny blood clot. Help?

Increase fluids

Blood
He probably has some constipation. Increase how much water he gets each day. If that does not help try glycolax daily in juice.
