What can I do if my levels were 4.6 for red blood cells and 4.6 for white blood cells too. Do I have anemia?
What are the functions of the different parts of blood (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, plasma)?
What does this urinalysis results mean? Albumin +1, leukocytes +3, red blood cells 1-2, white blood cells 10-15.
Urine: Albumin shows protein in the urine, leukocytes go with inflammation or infection, plus you have small amount of blood and white blood cells in the urine. All can go with a UTI. Was there nitrites in urine? Hopefully, they sent out a urine culture to check for infection. Follow up with your doc. ...Read more
I was told I have low red blood cells and a lot of white blood cells and im not anemic do I have leukemia? And is this bad to have this problem.
Extremely unlikely: The most common cause of elevated WBC would be infection. Wide range in severity. ...Read more
If I have low white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit does that mean I have leukemia?
If you have: Low white blood cell count (leukopenia) and red blood cell count (anemia), that is 2 of the 3 main components of your blood cells (the other being platelet). If this persists, you will need to ask your healthcare provider to send you to a hematologist (blood specialist) to verify the results and proper workup to explain these results. Epithelial cells and mucus present in urine, normal red blood cells and white blood cells in urine. No symptoms, possible causes?

What is the yellow liquid in which red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets are suspended?

What can cause my platelets, white blood cells and red blood cells are all high causing leukocytosis, mild thrombocytosis and macrocytes?
Inflammation: Macrocytes are white blood cells too. Also depends how high they are. Very mild elevation like 10-13 for WBC and 400-450 for platelets could be lab variations too. If mild to moderate suggests inflammation which can be from infection, autoimmune disorders. If very high, blood disorders are a concern. Whomever ordered the test should follow up with u. ...Read more
I went to the lab & results are: white blood cells: 6.79 10e3/ul red blood cells: 5.47 10e6/ul. Mcv: 78.9 fl mch: 26.3 pg. Rdw: 10.9% why is this low?
Many answers: One would want the hemoglobin and hematocrit levels to more accurately answer your question. The MCV above is borderline low based on a usual normal range that starts about 80. Low iron levels are the most common cause for a low mcv. I would have the complete blood count repeated before being overly worried about the above listed values. ...Read more
I was on oral steroid when I had a cbc test taken. It showed elevated red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Could this be from meds?
I have more white blood cells than red blood cells. Do I have HIV/aids. I also have very low iron especially when I'm on my period?
Anemia?: You apparently misunderstood your doctor. It is impossible for the WBC count to be higher than RBC. However, it sounds like you might be anemic (low RBC) due to iron deficiency. This usually is easy to diagnose and treat. None of this particularly suggests HIV or AIDS, but of course get tested if you have been at risk. Clarify all this with your doctor and follow her or his advice. ...Read more
Red blood cells-5.9, hematocrit- 55%, hemaglobin-18.0, esr-2, ldh-199, white blood cells- 9.0 (high neutrophils) & platlets-285, 000 polycythemia vera?
Can't tell. Need w/u: Normal range will vary -depending on the range used on each lab. On my lab, hb of 18 is still normal for male. Your white blood cell and platelet are also within normal range. I don't see any problem there-except you said you have high neutrophils- which can be caused by many things. However, if you are worried about p.Vera- go to see a hematologist and she/he will be able to help you. ...Read more

High BP consquences?: You need to see a physician (p) about your anemia and WBC problems as well as controlling your hypertension. Your vit. D deficiency and anemia could be due to some chronic kidney disease, perhaps due to your high bp. Your small vessel and white matter diseases could be due, once again, to your high bp. See a p to get started on therapy and have some blood work sent off for a diagnosis and a cure. ...Read more
