Insect bites: I would recommend that you apply ice directly to the bites and leave the ice in place for up to 30 minutes. Bites often are itchy for up to seven days. Prednisone is probably not a good idea. ...Read more

Itchy?: This sounds like it might be contact dermatitis.... your skin may be reacting to something it came in contact with, like poison ivy, metals, detergents, etc. If it is itchy, try hydrocortisone 1% cream. If that doesn't help, or it is very warm, painful, spreading, or draining pus, it may be infected and you should get it checked by a doctor. ...Read more

Sensitivity rash: Sounds like either skin irritation or contact dermatitis (example is poison ivy, but many natural causes can exist). Be sure to wash all clothes, bedsheets, or anything else you may have been in contact with before showering (small amounts of resin can cause persistent activation). If it does not appear infected, then hydrocortisone may help. If not improved in a few days, may need examination. ...Read more

Also, if you have periods of mouth dryness (certain medications, mouth breathing), that may leave your inner cheeks rough.Best to avoid anything like that for a while and see what happens. If still the same, see a dentist or a doctor ...Read more

? contusion: Most often a transient lump is the result of trauma/an injury or contusion, even if you can't recall something like that happening. The injured tissues swell, or there is a broken blood or lymph vessel that causes a lump. It is quite reassuring that it essentially disappeared so quickly. It is not surprising that a small focus can still be felt. You can watch this. ...Read more
