New onset could be an infection in the colon, a chronic pain could be multiple cause including irritable bowel or inflammatory bowel disease. Sore is not perf....: Rectal Perforation is not 'sore'. It is emergent, life threatening and bloody. So, if you are otherwise just a bit sore you have not perforated your anus. Not likely: You probably suffered local trauma. A rectal perforation is a surgical emergency. Would recommend that you abstain from any activity that will involve your rectal area and make sure you have at least 1 BM/ day, ideally soft.
