Could be...: stress, but then the doctor ordered a colonoscopy for some reason. Were you having these symptoms? Have you been on antibiotics recently? Have you started your prep for the colonoscopy? Not sure need exam: Your symptoms could be related to a number of things. Hemorrhoid should be one, rectocele or cystocele or rectal prolapse could cause a heavy feeling as well. You need a physical exam including a rectal exam to differentiate. ...Read more

Rectal prolapse: Without seeing you, my best guess is either a rectal prolapse or swollen hemorrhoids. Rectal prolapse is when the rectum pushes to the outside, and it can be just a bit or quite a lot. However, swollen hemorrhoids can appear similar to folks who aren't specialists. You might have epididymitis/orchitis (infection or inflammation of epididymis or testicle) and/or prostatitis (infection/inflammation of the prostate). Either may require treatment with antibiotics.
