Suffer from rectal ulcer with sessile polyp, I have continuos bloody mucous bleeding with constipation, am on pentasa (mesalamine) what to do else?

Rectal Ulcer: You are on Mesalamine for uc? Of course, the bleeding and mucus is likely associated with active ulcerative colitis. A large sessile polyp, if it is a true polyp and not a uc pseudo polyp, can secrete mucus itself. It sounds to me that your ulcerative colitis is still not under control. Having said that, the rectal ulcer is likely associated also with your active disease. Get a 2nd opinion. ...Read more

Colonoscopy/Biopsy report: the lesion (0.5cm) is lymphangioma of the rectum, Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome, and mucosal prolapse syndrome. Is it bad?

No, nothing bad!: It is likely that your rectal mucosal prolapse caused the solitary rectal ulcerr syndrome and needs no treatment unless there is significant bleeding or discomfort which you did not mention having. The incidentially found 5mm lymphangioma is totally benign and should be of no concern. That lesion is exceedingly rare with very few cases reported and never a report of malignancy in them. ...Read more

Start simple, but...: Docusate (per PDR) helps moisten & soften hard, dry stools. It is not a true laxative, but facilitates natural defecation, usually within 12 to 72 hours. This is safe &available for anyone over 2, &a assumes normal GI anatomy without inflammation, stenosis, extrinsic or instrinsic obstruction. What to do if I have a suspected peptic ulcer. Could rectal bleeding have something to do with that?

What to do if I have a suspected peptic ulcer. Could rectal bleeding have something to do with that?

Perhaps: Bleeding from a peptic ulcer generally presents as black tarry stools, not bright red blood. If you have copious amounts of maroon and red blood this could be from a peptic ulcer, however, this is only with very severe hemorrhage. Small amounts of red blood from the rectum are usually from the colon or hemorrhoids. You should always discuss bleeding with your doctor as some evaluation is needed. ...Read more

Had a colonoscopy d/t rectal bleeding dr said bleeding was from BP meds I take at night I had ulcers on the descending colon. What's the solution?

I disagree: I am unaware of any BP med that would cause colonic ulceration. You CAN see that with non-steroidals like ASA, motrin etc.
Were the ulcers biopsied? That can be a sign of Crohns disease.
Where were the ulcers? If very low in the rectum can be from chronic constipation.
