Rectal Pain Bowel Movements Twice A Week
The gastrointestinal tract starts at the mouth, travel down the tunnel (esophagus), which connects to the stomach, which then empties into the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum---the three parts of the small intestine (@25 feet). This empties into the colon or large intestine (about 5 feet), which then becomes the sigmoid colon, rectum and out the anus. So, every morsel eaten ...Read more
Lower and upper abdominal cramps, frequent bowel movements, 6 or more bowel movements a day, tannish color soft stool but anus fissure. What is this?
Need more info: If the pain is in the area of the stomach and you were bearing down hard to move your bowels, then it could be that in the process of bearing down you increased the pressure in the belly enough to push stomach acid into the food tube or esophagus. This would then cause pain due to the nature of how you exerted yourself to defecate. Seems like a long time to have pain post movement. See your doc. ...Read more

Woke to severe rectal pain. Didn't feel constipated but used glycerin suppository in case. Next day had a bowel movement w/ some grayish poop at end?
If persists> see Dr: There are a number of conditions that can cause rectal pain. If the pain occurred only once and you don't have pain on defecating it's possible the pain may be due to Proctalgia fugax. This can be due to spasm of the anal muscles, nerve compression or other causes. If you continue to have symptoms see a colorectal surgeon or GI specialist for a precise diagnosis.> http://bit.ly/1VI0NUc ...Read more

May be impacted: You may have a stool impaction. This is a large collection of stool that has hardened to the point abdominal it's very hard to clear. How often should a breastfed + formula supplemented baby have a bowel movement? Bowel movement forced by rectal exam after 36 hours of last stool.
BM and baby: Babies poop at very different intervals. GENERALLY breast fed babies poop more frequently than formula fed/supplemented babies. If you child is not in any distress I would NOT be doing rectal probing to force a BM. Only a trained physician should perform this as serious injury can occur to your child. Expect breast fed baby to poop 3-6 times a day and formula fed baby maybe 2-3 a day on ave. ...Read more

Flatulence problem?: Flatulence neither localizes your problem to small or large bowel, nor indicates severity or cause. I'm 30 weeks and been constipated for about a week I made two kinda hard bowel movement today than an hour later two diarrhea bowel movements what can?
Problem solved: Your rectum absorbs a lot of the fluid in your stool since you have been constipated the stool in your rectum has been preventing the rest from losing the fluid it normally would. When you had a bowel movement the colon emptied itself including the softer more liquid stool. If the diarrhea continues there may be another illness, but hopefully this just marks a resolution to your constipation. ...Read more
