All : All recoveries vary enormously, depending on many factors. Certainly this is affected by the severity of the infection and how the appendix was removed. Even the definition of "recover" varies: for a desk job it may be a few days but for a job with heavy lifting (i think of roofers) it may be a few weeks. I have never given a patient a timetable for activities as it is impossible to predict the recovery.
