How long is recovery for laproscopic removal of blood cyst from ovary, fluid on fallopian tube and tubes tied all at once?
Had a recent lapro hysterectomy. Received a diagnosis of "adenomysis with complex atypical hyperplasia" for sometime removed away from uterus --what is this?
Glad it's out: Adenomyosis doesn't usually mean anything, but atypical hyperplasia is something i'm glad to know you don't have to worry about any more. With your uterus gone, the atypical hyperplasia can't progress to malignancy, as it's somewhat prone to do. Take a deep breath and be thankful. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What causes abnormal heavy bleeding for 20days so far after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and ovarian cysts and having prostap injection?
Bleeding: If you had surgery for endometriosis, that could cause your bleeding postoperatively. If you got any medications to reduce future endometriosis growth, this may cause continued bleeding as well. If you did get lupron, (leuprolide) the bleeding should diminish after 2-3 weeks and you may not have a period for 2 - 3 months. Why remove Fallopian tubes with laparoscopic hysterectomy that's leaving my cervic ovaries from fibroids I have no other illness and no family history?
Tubal retention: The blood supply to the ovaries and the Fallopian tubes are closely linked but one organ can be surgically removed without the other being impacted. Leaving a cervix in place will still put you at risk for cervical cancer and pap smears will still be needed. Talk to your GYN surgeon and ask why the Fallopian tubes are being considered by him/her for removal at all if the ovaries will be left. ...Read more
How soon is it safe to masturbate after a laparotomy with cyst/ovary removal and pelvic adherences from endometriosis?
Here are some ...: There is no set rule to strictly guide the timing to masturbate after the described procedures. However, masturbation-related physical straining may induce "unbearable" pain for some; so it's reasonable to wait for 1-2 weeks to give the procedures-related tissue injury to settle down and to heal. This manner is a decent respect to our body; I hope you would agree to. More? Ask Doc timely... ...Read more
What kind of symptoms might develop from internal scarring after a robotic total hysterectomy (still have ovaries)?
Adhesions after surg: Probably no serious problems will arise but adhesions (or internal scarring) can lead to bowel obstructions and need for surgery. This is unlikely. Also in the case you will need other abdominal surgeries, these adhesions my increase the risk of complications. I would not worry too much about this. Best to you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
