Libido: After giving birth, it's advisable to wait a few weeks before having intercourse. However, there are certainly other ways to pleasure yourself or be pleasured. Becoming angry when not satisfied is another issue, and this needs to be reviewed with your physician. A psychiatrist may be able to provide some guidance or suggestions, because certain illnesses can manifest in irritability. Be well. ...Read more

I recently gave birth, having low sex drive (vagina dryness and a bit tight). I also have mild anal fissure. Any food to increase sex drive?

Lots of adjustments: Since you just gave birth lots of life changing events are going on. Having a new born baby at home leads to fatigue, lack of sleep and stress. This can impact sex drive. If you are breastfeeding then this can cause vaginal dryness. Estrogen cream can be prescribed by your Obgyn. Anal fissures should be treated or repaired. ...Read more

Painful bowel movements. Like brick being sent upwards; knocks wind out of me. Recently gave birth, also happens during menstruation. No hemorrhoids.

Scarring: There could be some scarring in the posterior cul-de-sac, the area between your vagina/uterus and the rectum/colon. That is, that when you have a bowel movement, it could be pulling on scar tissue. It's common to have pain in the area following giving birth, so hopefully this pain will dissipate with time. In the meantime, might consider using MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or generic equivalent to help ease movements ...Read more

After: After pregnancy it takes a while for your hormones to stabilize, this means you could have irregular periods for quite awhile, which could be the cause of the bleeding. If you are breastfeeding this further complicates the issue, and could add to abnormalities in your cycle. However, if you are having light bleeding after intercourse this needs to be evaluated by your ob/gyn. Based on a history and physical your doctor can determine if this bleeding is normal, or caused by another issue. Try not to worry, it is likely your body adjusting to a post-pregnancy state, and the bleeding is a result of a hormonal imbalance that should soon correct itself. ...Read more
