Not necessarily: Red blotches, medically called urticaria, may or may not be related to allergy. After camping, the commonest causes are allergy to plants or insect stings. Unless you have other symptoms, such as feeling ill or running a fever, i would take an antihistamine such as fexofenadine or Cetirizine (over the counter). If not gone within a few days or having other symptoms, then see a physician. ...Read more

Options: Store aloe vera gel in the refrigerator and apply to affected area. Rub a basil leaf on the bite. It repels mosquitoes & has anti-inflammatory properties effect. consider applying calamine lotion. Apply crushed ice or a cold pack. Thank : Thank you for choosing to serve in the navy and congratulations. The best way to minimize the discomfort from injections is to be as relaxed as possible. Tense muscles tend to cause more discomfort. Take several deep breaths and when the injection is being made, exhale as forcibly as possible. Afterwards use a little ice and motrin.
