Reasons For Fluid In Pelvis
How does fluid and abscess accumulate in the pelvis, pelvic area.... is there lots of reasons for this ? Male patient
Many reasons: There are several ways yes. Diverticulitis (little sac out-pouchings in the colon) can rupture and lead to this. Irritation anywhere in the pelvis can lead to fluid and or abscess. The list does go on. These things can resolve spontaneously...but do sometimes require CT guided or US guided drainage. ...Read more
40 years, ultrasound detect minimal fluid douglas and large number of epithelial in urine, i have pain in the pelvic and back for 2 months,What is?
TooLittle& Confusing: information: Ultrasound of what? "minimal fluid douglas" does not make sense. Epithelial cells in urine from urethra is normal; large number likely just reflects not an optimally collected "mid-stream clean-catch" sample which would have ?ed the epithelial cell concentration seen. Pelvic & back pain may not have anything to do with these observations, just part of common differential evaluation. ...Read more
I've bn for CT and ultrasound scans cysts found in ovaries and blockage in fallopian tube docs said not cause of pain thats in vagina and abdomen?
Would have to see: The report, but you need a complete workup including bowel and urinary tract evaluation and then you may need a laparoscopy or robotic sugery to look into the pelvis as you may have adhesions or endometriosis which will not show up on the scan , but if it says the tubes are blocked you could have adhesions and scar tissue in other parts of your pelvis which can cause pain which can be seen at surg. ...Read more

No: There is no association between menstruation and diverticula. You're very young even to have diverticula. Was this seen on a colonoscopy? You can have endometriosis within your pelvis (including on your colon) which can feel worse around the time of menstruation. Treatments for endometriosis include Depot-Lupron, surgery, continuous BCPs, daily Letrozole. Endometriosis is hard to see by sonogram ...Read more
Ultrasound showed enlarge kidney and a large amount of free fluid in pelvis in a lot of pain daily wondered what treatment options are?
Need work up : Need additional testing as to why have ascites (free fluid). Liver, kidney and heart disease are the usual culprits. Enlarged kidney is a relative term. Would purse testing. Treatment would depend on cause of the fluid gain. A blood work, urine test and physical exam should offer insight. Often patients need diuretics (water pills) to get rid of fluid gain. Establishing cause is KEY. ...Read more

Both of the conditions are caused by an overgrowth, an imbalance of one or another organism in the colon. If i'm in early labor (3cm) and baby hasn't dropped yet could a reason be that he is to big to fit through my pelvis because i was checked today and the nurse said he is high up?
May not be in pelvis: The OB provider who did the exam knows not only dilatation and effacement (thinness) of the cervix but also station of the presenting part. It might be that the fetal part is not even in the pelvis yet so concerns about size might not be warranted. It could be rather that the baby is in some position other than head first. A patient should ask for input after an ultrasound or exam by OB physician. ...Read more

I'm 19 and still a virgin can I pass the pre hire physical if i refuse a pelvic exam for that reason!
Yikes!: I can't imagine any pre-employment physical that would require a full pelvic exam - that is one of the most invasive things I have ever heard. A pelvic exam is not even recommended anymore until age 21, so if you are 19 y/o, it would not even be part of a routine exam yet. If whoever you are planning to work for is requiring a pelvic exam as part of hire, i would seriously consider another job! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Mesh?: Prolapse surgery with some spotting after surgery? Hard to know so would suggest you check in with your prolapse surgeon.
