How long will it be after my tonsillectomy until I can eat real food?

How long will it be after my tonsillectomy until I can eat real food?

Depends: Every ENT doctor has a different answer. Some let people eat real food right away. I tell my patients to avoid foods and drinks that are hot, hard, spicy or acidic for 2 weeks. I like my patients to stay away from anything that can scratch, burn or irritate their throats while healing. No chips, fries, tomatoes, coffee, tea, lemon orange etc. Best for you to ask your doctor his/her preference. ...Read more

Tonsillectomy, how long until you can have red foods?

Tonsillectomy, how long until you can have red foods?

What foods do adults get after having a tonsillectomy?

What foods do adults get after having a tonsillectomy?

Any time you want: I tend to not restrict diet in any way. Some ents say to stick to a soft diet but that is more of an older way of thinking.
