Or, according to their instructions, it means there was an error in the test and that they want you to do the test again. Yes: If a result has to be less than 10 to be considered nonpregnant, then a 46 means pregnant... unless there is another reason for a level that high, such as a gradually falling bHCG level after a miscarriage. Even : Even though bleeding can be a sign of miscarriage, there are instances where bleeding can occur (especially in the first trimester), but the baby is still ok. I'm afraid you are going to have to wait until your appointment to know for sure. They may do additional blood testing and/or an ultrasound depending on your symptoms and how far along you are.
