Can baby acne appear in places other than the babies face? My son's ped diagnosis him w/baby acne. But it has spread to his arms and shoulders.
Possibly: If your baby is constantly drooling the skin can become irritated and red around the mouth and chin. If the child runs at it the irritation becomes more angry. Drooling is almost always associated with teething, rashes not always. Forehead rashes are not associated with teething and come from some other cause. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Breastfeeding and baby and i both have a red, flaky, scaly rash. Baby around mouth-me around mouth, eye, forehead, forearm, and nipple?

If you are applying topical lotions or perfumed products this may lead to a contact dermatitis. Your physician will be able to determine the treatment for the underlying cause. ...Read more

Will rubbing a pee-soaked diaper on an infant's face and/or tongue cure him of thrush and baby acne?
Not advisable: There is much folklore surrounding the use of urine as a cure-all, but little evidence of any benefit. Urine should be sterile and not cause disease, but there are much better treatments for both oral thrush and acne. Baby acne does not need treatment and will go away on its own. Benzoyl peroxide is far more effective for treatment of adult acne. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
