Prescribed steroid cream for my rash. Didn't realize until after applying, it had pus oozing from it. I wiped it off and applied peroxide. Is this ok?
Pus oozing rash: It depends on the cause of your rash. If you were given the steroid to help treat a skin irritant like posien Ivy, then the oozing is not infectious and the peroxide was not helpful. If on the other hand the rash got infected, it would be red, warm, tender and may ooze, then yes, peroxide and triple topical antibiotic like neosporin would be helpful. If so, you should contact your doc. ...Read moreGet help now ›
