Rash and tonsillitis: Strep tonsillitis can have a rash associated with it but it is sandpapery in texture and in the warm areas of the body (groin axilla etc.). Sometimes Amoxicillin can cause a fine rash but usually about seven days into treatment. Finally if it was not proven strep it could have been a viral tonsillitis and some viruses can cause a rah.
