Not Synthroid (thyroxine): Hi. Synthroid (levothyroxine) is thyroid hormone, and is not an anti-inflammatory. Do you mean hydrocortisone? Hydrocortisone (and drugs like it: prednisone, triamcinolone, etc) are anti-inflammatory glucocorticoids, and can be used in a variety of types of arthritis. There are other great treatments for psoriatic arthritis if that's what this is, but not Synthroid! It's used to treat hypothyroid. ...Read more

Hard to say...: Without more information, it's really difficult to say for certain. Usually things like shingles or herpes have fluid filled bumps. Mild eczema doesn't have to be itchy, it can just tingle or feel irritated. If you're not having fever, it's not painful, and you're feeling well otherwise, its okay to wait a few days before seeing the doctor, but you should get it checked if it doesn't go away. ...Read more

Need an exam: It's really hard to know what's wrong without seeing what you are talking about. I'd recommend a trip to the gyn doc or dermatologist for a good exam. This could be herpes, but it's unlikely given the duration (HSV outbreaks usually resolve within a week or so). ...Read more
