Before the rash appears, there usually and increased sensation/pain in skin/area--sometimes will occur before the rash appears. The rash is raised and looks like chicken pox. Not Synthroid (thyroxine): Hi. Synthroid (levothyroxine) is thyroid hormone, and is not an anti-inflammatory. Do you mean hydrocortisone? Hydrocortisone (and drugs like it: prednisone, triamcinolone, etc) are anti-inflammatory glucocorticoids, and can be used in a variety of types of arthritis. There are other great treatments for psoriatic arthritis if that's what this is, but not Synthroid! It's used to treat hypothyroid. ...Read more

Hard to say...: Without more information, it's really difficult to say for certain. Usually things like shingles or herpes have fluid filled bumps. Mild eczema doesn't have to be itchy, it can just tingle or feel irritated. If you're not having fever, it's not painful, and you're feeling well otherwise, its okay to wait a few days before seeing the doctor, but you should get it checked if it doesn't go away. ...Read more
