Rash On Lower Back And Buttocks
Sciatica pain for 2 months consistently. Now a pink rash on lower back and buttocks. What could this be?
2year old with low fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash on lower back buttocks. Sore throat, ear infection antibiotics don't help. 3 months already sick.
Please see your Dr.: Your baby definitely needs a work up. I would involve an immunologist and a dermatologist in the workup. It may help to work backwards and see what the rash is, which may point to what the overall problem is. Certain immune system problems, vitamin deficiencies, intolerance to certain foods and other conditions may all cause similar symptoms.
I developed a very itchy non-contagious rash on the shape of a circle on my calve and on my lower back upper buttocks...do I need to worry?

What might this be? An itchy rash like cluster of bumps on my lower back just above my buttocks. It looks a lot like a bunch of mosquito bites.
See your doctor: With these types of symptoms, you need to see your doctor for a personal evaluation to see what's going on.
Pain in lower back and buttocks. Worse at night. Worse when sitting. Better when walking or upright. What is it? Ice or heat better to treat?
Your symptoms: Are a bit confusing since the LOCATION is CLASSIC for Spinal Stenosis (Degenerative arthritis lumbar spine) but the RELIEF with walking is usually NOT the case (pain of spinal stenosis usually worsens with walking In any case you can try HEAT ICE and ALTERNATING HEAT/ICE Whatever helps. But get it checked out! Your Primary Care Provider (PCP) is the place to start! Dr ZSee 1 more doctor answer
I rec'd a lumbar epidural on 8/27 as ofyesterday I started feeling electric shocks in my Lower back and buttocks it felt like a live wire is this norm?
Probably not: You say you had an epidural injection 11 days ago. They inject an anesthetic Into an area around your spinal column and it stops the nerves from transmitting signals below where you got the injection- hence the anesthesia. The drug has a half-life during which it is metabolized away. Eleven days seems way too long too me. Maybe you got a depot form in oil which can last for a month. Get to anesthe
Having sharp pain in my lower back and buttocks when I am sitting even for a short period of time. What can cause this.
SI joint, disc herni: There are a lot of structures in the back that can lead to pain. The most common are disc herniations, facet joint arthritis, or SI joint dysfunction. Pain that is localized to the back only that is worse with sitting may be coming from the SI joint. Usual 1st line treatment is PT for most back conditions
Had hip replacement 8 weeks ago all of a suddon had a lot of pain in lower back and buttocks hard to walk. Wondering if I would know if I dislocated.?
Dislocated total hip: Sudden onset new kind of pain is an alarm sign after hip replacement. Dislocation will make your leg short and rotated in an abnormal way and you will be unable to walk. Call your doctor as soon as possible and make arrangements for an evaluation. If you are unable to bear weight and your leg is short call 911 for a transfer to the closest er.
Had cortison in L5 and si joints 3 weeks ago still got stinging and dull ache in lower back and buttocks?
This is not unusual: This can happen just from the injections or the fact that the injections did not help or even that your pain may have been unrelated to these areas in the first place. You should follow up with the doctor who injected you for an evaluation.
I have had leg and back pain for over a month. My leg aches all the time and when I beND forward a get a sharp pain in my hip and lower back and buttocks region?
My mom is paraplegic and has had a large pressure sore on her lower back and buttocks for nearly a month now?
Pressure ulcer: Your mother should be seen by a specialist in wounds, either home health nursing or in a wound center if the travel is not too onerous. There are several changes that you will need to make in the home related to equipment (mattresses and cushions) and activity and turning schedules. You will also need to have a nutritional consult also related to protein intake.See 1 more doctor answer
Yes: A fall can cause a lumbar sprain or strain. It can also cause herniation of the lumbar disc.
Just had lower back facet injections done a week ago but now the center of buttocks hurts really bad. Is it related?
May be: Ensure that the injection sites are clean, dry with no signs of infection. If the pain continues speak to your doctor.
I had a EBP done 3 weeks ago the headache went away but now I have severe pain in my lower back and left buttocks is this normal?
No: 32 yo female epidural headache blood patched & now "low back" pain & sciatica. Spinal myelitis rare from birth-assisted epidural. Greater concern for injured pelvic girdle ligaments from hyperextended sacroiliac joint during forced trendelenberg position when involuntary guarding & splinting of ligaments was forestalled by anesthetic. See Osteopath; ER if fever, vomit, lower extremity weakness.
My lower back is puffy above my buttocks, but only in the center around the spine. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. Is this normal?
Puffy back: There is fat there that is greater on some people. If there is no pain, reddness or drainage from the area it is most likely normal. If it bothers you then see your family doctor.
I fell this morning back hurts any suggestions? It's my lower back right above my buttocks. It is more pressure than pain and hurts more when sitting
See below: I would rest apply ice to the affected area 20 minutes on 40 minutes off. And make an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible you may have a sacral coccyx fracture. These on general are usually treated conservatively without operative intervention. You can purchase a sacral donut to use when you're sitting down. Good luck thank you.
Prolotherapy is for: Visit www. Getprolo. Com or www. Aaomed. Org for a doctor that does prolotherapy and to learn about it.
I get pain near lower back and upper buttocks while standing up after seating. No pain while walking etc... Just pain when I stand up.
Sacrum pain?: If you put your hands on your hips, and touch your thumbs together, if the pain is below that it may be from sacroiliitis. This is a connection between the pelvic bones and the lower spine. It has to tighten when you go from sitting to standing. Stretching, massage, and over the counter medications like ibuprofen, can help.See 1 more doctor answer
