If he has a fever...: ...It could be a virus, and you should see your pediatrician. If no fever it could still be a virus, or he could have come in contact with something he's allergic to, possibly something floating in the air like dust or pollen. Rash on face: Could be several things like rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, even a contact dermatitis to something being used on the face. Scrubbing or vigorous washing of any of these can make them more inflamed and irritated. So first, gentle care with a fragrance-free, soap-free cleanser like cetaphil bar. Itchy skin rashes: Persistent dry, red and itchy skin rashes are consistent with dermatitis, most commonly it is atopic dermatitis or eczema. You can try otc Hydrocortisone cream apply to the area twice a day. Keep using aquaphor. Sometimes you need an antibiotic course if it gets infected. See an allergist or dermatologist if it does not improve by those simple measures so we can look at the rashes. ...Read more

Probably not: The eyes may be pink and teary due to allergens in the air. Wash the eyes with clear water or use artificial tears to rinse them. The rash on cheeks could be anything- virus, irritation, dry skin, all sorts of things. Apply a barrier such as vaseline or a & d ointment and observe.
