Rash Inside Lip
Rash lining and inside lips; started with itching, turned to burning later on. I have started using the vasoline and it is working wonderful, but I wanted to find out if this is most likely a skin contact rash or something ingested?
Could be either one: What you describe could come from contact with a substance, like lip product, that you came in contact with. You may be allergic to one of the components. It is also possible that you had an allergic reaction to something you ate. Try to look back over the time just before you got the rash and figure out what it might have been. It does not sound like herpes if burning went away quickly.

Dermatologist time: Persistent chapped lips may be lip eczema, which can be treated like skin eczema, using hydrocortisone cream, plus Vaseline or Aquaphor to moisturize. Sometimes, lipsticks or lip sunscreen chemicals are causing allergic reactions on lips. Other times, a person is a primary lip-licker (it's her habit). Once cracked, lips get irritated by routine foods and juices. Dermatologist can sort things out

Address the cause: Seems the treatments you have tried are not addressing the cause. One common cause of rashes is food allergies- common allergens include dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, citrus & almonds- try avoiding for 2 weeks and add back one at a time. You might also be deficient in b vitamins, essential fatty acids or zinc. If these measures don't help consult a holistic md- see http://www. Abihm. Org/search-doctors.

Not anaphylaxis: Anaphylaxis refers to acute allergic reaction with loss of blood pressure, passing out, tight airway, sudden difficulty breathing. The cause is usually known. 29 days ago I kissed a unknown girl on her vagina with just my lips. Now I have lymph nodes and rashes on my neck. Is this related to hiv ars? Freaking out
Doesn't transmit HIV: Many things are possible in life, even if rare, so do the math. There are about 320 million people in the U.S.; 160 million are female. About 80% of them are older teens and adults, which is 128, 000, 000 people. About 25% of the 1.2 million HIV-infected people here are women, which is 300, 000 people. The chance of an UNKNOWN woman just having HIV is 300, 000 / 128, 000, 000 = 0.0023 = only 1 in 500.

Depends: Dry cold air is a usual cause of chapped lips that may be construed as a rash. Sun exposure may affect the lips more than other skin and may also activate cold sores. Deficiency of B vitamins is an other cause. It is not feasible to provide a more definitive opinion without examining the "rash".
