For poison ivy?: Since it is summer, & guessing by the way you phrase your question, you are asking what is the best way to treat allergic contact dermatitis. Calamine is not harmful, and may reduce the itch somewhat. I haven't found it helpful personally or professionally. Red, itchy rash on wrists and right below onto forearms. Hands are dry from washing & cold weather. Lotion burns rash & hot water is painful.
Irritant dermatitis?: If you wash your arms and hands a lot, the skin gets dry. Once it gets irritated, anything you put on may hurt you. The itching and blister point more to a contact allergy. Sorry it didn't help: A nice warm bath is a good idea to help deal with many unpleasant symptoms: ease pain, aid sleep, reduce stress, help a cold (steam)...but I don't think helping nausea & vomiting would typically be expected.
