Rapid heart beat at rest reason to call doc?

Rapid heart beat at rest reason to call doc?

Maybe, maybe not: Normal hr at rest is around 60-100 bmp. Sometime emotional excitement, even when you are resting, it can be a bit fast. Also, if you have taken some cold medicine/decongestants, or too much caffeine/energy drinks, or all of the above together can really speed up your heart. Asthma medicine--albuterol etc. Can increase hr. So, if u have no reason for fast hr, consult doc. Good luck. Read more

Dizziness, blured vision and rapid heart beat while exercising. Heart beat during rest is 89-100bpm blood pressure 117/84. Is it normal?

Discuss w doc: One expects a physiologically appropriate increase in heart rate with exercise. This could be magnified if your volume state is low (intravascular dehydration). Symptoms of dehydration coupled with the normal sympathetic stress of activity could explain this--but if you are still symptomatic after assuring adequate hydration you should see a cardiologist for monitoring/echo-stress study.
