Can you tell me if the side effects from a salt load infusion is body swelling, face, legs, ankles , hands. A week later still?

Can you tell me if the side effects from a salt load infusion is body swelling, face, legs, ankles , hands. A week later still?

Yes but: It would have to be several liters/bags if you are/were ill in order to recieve the infusion, then it is more likely that your blood vessels were "leaky" and the fluid seeped out and under your skin. The body usually gets rid of it as you get better. But it could be part of the adrenal problem you seem to be getting tests for. ...Read more

Why might i suddenly have an intolerancfe to salt...Orbital edema and hand, feet swelling...Bloodwork fine according to other drs on here.

Here's why...: New and sudden onset edema should prompt evaluation for heart failure, liver failure and nephrotic kidney disease. Sounds like those have already been ruled out. It is also possible that you could have a systemic inflammatory or hormonal response that produces some vascular leakiness. Failing that you may just have eaten too much salt. ...Read more

I have severe pain and swelling in my left hand. Am I playing computer games too much?

You can answer that: If you haven't had any other injury or overuse, you play video games frequently, and it hurts after you play, then you can assume that playing video games is the problem. Possible twisting...: In young men with testicular pain with highly variable intensity, duration, and interval without problems (by hx and physicals) in testes and epididymis, i would consider possible intermittent twisting with spontaneous untwisting of testis, although the peak age of t-torsion is around 10-16. The : The longer a patient has gout, the disease typically will involve more joints. It generally startes in the lower extremities (feet, ankles, knees), but can involve the upper extremities (hands, wrists, elbows). Shoulder symptoms are less common, but can be related to gout in some cases. I would recommend a thorough rheumatologic evaluation. If your symptoms are all related to gout, you may need to be on long-term gout medications such as allopurinol. On the other hand, the symptoms could be related to another type of arthritis (and possible muscle/tendon problems in the shoulder) and should be evaluated by an expert to make this distinction. Hope this is helpful. ...Read more
