Identify the cause: More information would be very helpful - did you injure yourself? Many times friction type injury will cause blistering. Burns, frost bites could cause blistering. Blisters on toddlers: It can be form any of the multitude of causes! does he have fever and runny nose or cold symptoms? Are all his immunizations current for age including varicella shot. Cold compresses: Sorry to hear. Apply cold compresses to the area. After about 20-30 minutes, check the blisters to see if they are getting worse. It sounds like a second degree burn. Get topical silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) and apply to blisters and dress it with sterile dressing. Deroofing blisters may need a doctor to examine first. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Under 2 weeks: IT Is normal for the areas to blister become darker and look almost like bloody blisters, In the course of a week they will darken dry and in most cases peel off. It can take a solid 2 weeks for the areas to clear. Just keep them clean and don't pick at them ...Read more

Probably not herpes: Herpes doesn't cause this sort of problem, especially when it lasts several months. This sounds like garden variety fungal (yeast) or nonspecific balanitis, very common in uncircumcised men. Probably not caused by hand sanitizer, even if that was just before the problem started. Retract foreskin and wash 2x daily w/ soap & water. See a dermatologist if it continues after that. ...Read more
