Random Blood Glucose Normal Range
The blood sugar concentration or blood glucose level is the amount of glucose (sugar) present in the blood of a human or animal. The body naturally tightly regulates blood glucose levels as a part of metabolic homeostasis. Glucose is the primary source of energy for the body's cells, and blood lipids (in the form of fats and oils) are primarily ...Read more

Hi there. Would just like to know what is the normal range for urea, creatinine and glucose to be in a blood test?
They vary but,,: Normal ranges for constituents like these vary slightly from lab to lab, but basically, the ranges should be about 2.0-8.0 mg/dl for men and 1.5-6.9 mg/dl for women for uric acid. Creatinine in serum is generally < 1.5 mg/dl for both men and women, while serum glucose is usually about 75-115 mg/dl for men and women. Blood urea nitrogen has a normal range of 10-20 mg/dl. Hope this helps. ...Read more
My cmp blood test says my glucose level is 100mg/dl (says normal range is 65-99). Am i pre-diabetic? Should i be concerned and/or get second opinion?
I am hearing that a healthy normal range of blood glucose in a healthy adult can be 70--120. Some MD's think 120 means high diabetes and insulin(?).
Hello. I had blood test results and i just wanted a second opinion. My mch is at 32.2 fl bit high, mchch is at 33.1fl its normal, mcv is a 97.6%. Also, my carbon dioxide is at a 32 mmol and glucose at a 104. Everything else is in the normal range.
What is the range of normal "fasting" whole blood glucose? May i also get your reference? Thanks!
74-106: That's "technicaliy" the "normal range", but only for blood drawn from a vein in the fasting state. After meal glucoses and hba1dc determination are also important if you're concerned re: diagnosis of diabetes. Don't be worried if your glucose is slightly lower than the above range. Be aware that what is considered "normal" changes from time to time and has been slowly lowering over years. ...Read more
UnfortunatelyNo High: Healthy fasting: ~70-90 mg/dl. Peak after eating ?140 mg/dl. Better yet is hba1c, optimal 5.0% (relative to cv ds events within 5 yrs people middle aged), not called dm until 6.5% by ada & ada recs tx to 7.0% which most people do not reach. Excellent glucose control quite achievable with emphasis on lchf foods, see taubes, attia, nusi.Org, science for smart people, dietdoctor, lustig, fatchance. ...Read more
Just got test results back. Blood Glucose was 77 out of a range of 60-125. Fructosamine was 1.8 out of range of 0-2.0. Is this normal?
Yes: Both values are in the normal reference range so I would say they are normal. ...Read more

Yes: The diagnosis of diabetes is not usually made or excluded based on a urine glucose or a random blood sugar. If you are concerned that you may have diabetes you should see your primary doctor for proper assessment which may involve doing a fasting blood sugar, a hemoglobin a1c - which looks at average blood sugar over the last 3 months, and/or an oral glucose tolerance test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Varies: The answer depends on many things, including what risk factors you currently have (obesity, metabolic syndrome, family history of diabetes...) just because you have a normal random blood sugar does not rule out Insulin resistance. Your body might keep your bs normal at the expense of very high level of Insulin in early diabetes. You need to measure glucose, Insulin and c-peptide level as a start. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Probably not: Usually diabetics out of control will show glucose in urine. You can still be a diabetic but showing glucose only when u have a high glucose intake. Only way to prove you are not diabetic is with a glucose challenge blood test and a hemoglobina1c blood test. There are diabetics contrlled with diet and others that require insulin. ...Read more
Can multiple normal random blood glucose tests be enough to say no hypoglycemia/diabetes. I still think i have something. Have bad health anxiety.
You do have anxiety: But you could also have something else. You will not however be likely to find a cause here with so little information. You might want to schedule a formal consult to air all of your concerns. Good luck! ...Read more
