Is it ok to eat that raisin bran crunch cereal if I have diverticulitis, it has oat clusters and regular oats in it as well.

It is fine: I don't think any foods cause diverticulitis. There is no evidence that seeds, nuts, etc can cause diverticulitis. By the time that stuff gets to your colon it is all the same consistency, so I tell my patients not to limit their diet if they have diverticulosis. ...Read more

Consider aiming for 25-35g/d plus water. If more fiber, fluids & exercise aren't enough, go see your FamilyDoc for evaluation. Irritable bowel syndrome is more common than inflammatory bowel disease. 9 weeks pregnant and constipated. I drink water and gatorade. And Jane been eating bran cereal. Haven't had a normal bowel movement for about a week.

Include more fiber: In diet! Gatorade is mainly sugar, and not so great for electrolyte replacement. There is something with less sugar called Vitamin Water, but what is even safer is coconut water (fresh). That was used in WW2 to treat wounded soldiers IV! Got some golden raisins, do they have any nutritional benefits or not?

Yes, but caution re:: Raisins are, of course, dried grapes ; have many of the same benefits as grapes. Dark raisins have additional benefits from anthocyanin pigments (just as red wine is healthier than white)but golden raisins still have benefits.
However, raisins raise blood sugar more than grapes ; unless organic, have significant pesticide residues.
