Raised Hard Bumps On Skin
Bf is 45 has a nickel sized raised very round hard bump under the skin in his armpit very painful has apt tomorrow but we are scared what could it be?
Possible abscess: This is a common location to have an abscess, a local skin infection, which is easily treated by opening it and allowing it to drain, which may hurt briefly, but will release the pressure and there will be less pain afterwards as it drains. Other causes are possible of course, but that seems most likely. The doctor will sort if out, but it is probably nothing major, depending on your BF's health,
I have had a small raised bump on my arm for about a yr. It is skin colored doesn't hurt it is hard and about the size of a bug bite. What is it?
3 SM flat/raised shiny skin firm bumps back scalp. 2 at exact opp ends of head (right & left), smaller 1" from left bump. Left bump black dot middle?
Sebaceous cyst?: A bump with a black dot in the middle is likely a sebaceous cyst. As for the other bumps a photo of them would be helpful. Consider a Virtual consultation on Health Tap where you could upload photos of the area.
Raised bump on face; skin colored; feels like something hard underneath; squeezed it out once, but it came back. What is it and how to get rid of it?
Sebaceous cyst: You can "pop" a zit, pimple, or cyst, but the sac around it has cells that produce the sebum that you squeeze out--unless the sac is removed, it will return. See a plastic surgeon for proper removal and least scarring. Do not pick!
I have a conical lump on my back the size of a nickel with a small dark dot on the center. The bumb is raised about 2 to 3 mm from the surface of the skin. I am a white male, 32 years old. The bump is hard to the touch and has been present for at least tw
Hard: Hard to tell without a clinical exam so I would see a dermatologist. Perhaps it is a cyst, a mole, a dermatofibroma, or other possibilities. I would see a dermatologist to verify that it is benign. I hope that is helpful. Visit the link below and click on skin growths, cysts, and moles to see a picture of some of these conditions. I hope that helps!
I have had a small raised bump about the size of a bug bite on my arm for about a yr. It is hard but not painful. Skin colored. What could it be.
1 Look=1000 words: Too hard to tell from this limited information. Go see your family doctor or a dermatologist and have them look at it. Chances are they can take one look at it and know exactly what it is.See 1 more doctor answer
Red raised bump, is more of a one inch line one my arm. It did have a small hard head to it but went away. Main bump still there, itches and stings?
Bump below penis head small cut below bump. Some hair follicles on balls raised and red no pus, main bump has no head hard but harder with erection??
? Keratosis pilaris: Really depends on the area you are talking about. Scratching will typically cause red bumps know as dermatographism (a form of urticaria or hives from scratching the skin). On the back of arms and legs, follicular white papules can become more prominent as the surface of the skin is removed from scratching and making the bumps more exposed. See derm to be sure.
PPP: Likely are pearly penile papules, which are harmless. See: http://pppremoval. Hubpages. Com/hub/pearly-penile-papules-ppp-removal-treatments -- for more information and options on treatment, if desired.
Need more info...: Without further detailed specifics, relevance, & sequence of events of all symptoms + a direct look + test as needed, it would be hard to offer right answer, although clinically it may be related to long tight foreskin. However, it is not hard to put all related things together correctly by following instructions in articles listed in http://www. Formefirst. Com/onDealSickness. Html. Best wish to...
I have been coming up in itchy raised bumps on my skin, I've not changed my diet and I'm not allergic to anything that I'm aware of. What could it be?
Skin rashes: Skin rashes need to be seen to get proper diagnosis and treatment. Based on your brief descriptions, raised bumps on your skin sound like urticaria or hives. If you have it recently, you can try otc antihistamine. Several etiologies may cause acute hives but otc is suffice. If it last longer than 6 weeks, or you have associated shortness of breath/ abdominal pain, you should come see an allergist.
It could be but: This really can't be diagnosed without seeing it. We don't have the capability of looking at photos on this part of the site. I would recommend you either see your primary care doctor, a dermatologist, or consult with one of us on HealthTap Prime.
It triggers rashes: Scratching of the skin can trigger eczematous rashes, it damages the skin and can result in bumps and rashes. It also depends on what caused the scraching, as allergies and eczema makes you scratch and this makes the rash worse and there is a vicious cycle and you need meds to stop the ithch to help the patient.
My son tripped and hit his head and has a bump on the side of his head raised up and bruised right away?
Head injury: Should be monitored closely. Needs to be examined if not acting like himself, is sleepy, vomits or had loss of consciousness.
Area under neck top of mid back is raised but no bump of anything on skin! Doesn't hurt and has no actual shape beside feeling raised?
Need exam: Your question is best answered by exam. Not only to look, but to feel it. Most likely lipoma or tricholemmal cyst, both benign.
I have a red rash (mostly dots) and usually raised bumps that form on my skin when I get nervous or it's hot. What is it and is it serious?
Probably not: Unless this is a new thing for you I would not worry about it.
My son has a few small patches of raised bumps on him the patches are about the size of nickels and he is 20 months old is this just dry skin?
White spots under my skin on both sides of lower face and on neck. Not raised bumps but white spots. What is this? And what can I do to stop them?
Guessing: Is not a good approach to address this issue. It is best to be medically assessed. Once the diagnosis is made for the skin lesions than a treatment plan can be developed.
