Raised Bumps On Perineal Raphe
Sounds like allergic: Reaction to be so systemic to your trunk. If it looks bigger than pin size or a rash, it looks bigger like wheals and hives, you need to go to er immediately. This can easily get out of control. Meanwhile you can use some cool compresses, to prevent it from being more irritating. You may have eaten something, or used a detergent, or lotion, that is irritating your skin. You need to make sure that if that's the case, that it's washed off completely with soap and water. ...Read more

On the back of arms and legs, follicular white papules can become more prominent as the surface of the skin is removed from scratching and making the bumps more exposed. See derm to be sure. ...Read more
Keratosis pilaris: The slightly rough small papules on shoulers or upper legs typically are hair follicles which are dry. This time of the year sun exposure or drying from hot showers may flare this. If you have had this before and they recur in the same area this is a likely cause. You would need to be evaluated by your dermatologist to be sure. ...Read more

I have a very painful raised bump on my shoulder. It has a brown center and is red on the outside.?
It's unclear: From your description what it might be, but if this is new, have someone look closely with a magnifying glass to make sure you didn't pick up a small tick somewhere. The young ticks can be so small that they are not even recognized as a tick. Regardless, this needs to be looked at by a physician, especially because it is painful. If it is a tick remove it and bring to MD, or let MD remove 4 lab. ...Read more

My 7 year old son was complaining his bottom hurt. Found red raised bumps on it. What could this be?
When I stick out my tongue was far as I can I have two raised bumps on each side at the back. Is this normal?
Probably normal: There are numerous larger bumps on the back and sides of tongue. These papillae have various functions like you taste buds. I would be more concerned about white growths on the side of your tongue since it is the most common site for cancer in your mouth. You may want to google tongue anatomy to compare your findings. You may have your dentist examine the tongue, too. ...Read more

I have one big raised bump in my pubic area and one or two small bumps but not in clusters what are the chances that this is herpes?
Doubt herpes, but...: This is not likely to be herpes, which generally does not cause sores in hairy areas, especially with the intitial HSV infection. And herpes rarely causes a "big raised bump" anywhere. I'm betting on pimples or folliculitis. But if you remain concerned, or if herpes seems possible because you are at risk for STD (e.g. new or unsafe partner), see a doctor or clinic. Better safe than sorry! ...Read more
I've been getting raised bumps sporatically over different areas of my body. The bumps are itchy but only red if I scratch. What is the cause?
Hives/:Urticaria: This is due to histamine release from cells in the skin. They only do it when a signal goes to these cells from the lower brain that is a computer. By far the commonest cause is a "junk" diet, particularly sugary stuff. You will see this as my answer to many of the questions asked in this forum because dietary mayhem is the cause of so many problems in our culture. ...Read more
