Gastric adenocarcinoma w/ lymph node involvement---- 9 out of 26 tested positive. Are there options after the gastrectomy for 87yr old or too risky?
Possibly: Options for postoperative treatment generally include chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. While many 87 year-olds will have difficulty tolerating these treatments, everyone is different. Some elderly patients who have a good performance status and few comorbidities can tolerate aggressive treatments. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Zirconium dental implants. How common is it used now. Is there any advantages or benefits over titanium implants. Cons & pros please. Thanks.
Dental implants: A majority of the dental implants placed are titanium. They are highly successful with many years use ; many studies, much lower in cost ; have many restorative options. Zirconia implants are newer, fewer studies on success, lesser restorative options. However they can be more aesthetic in certain anterior(front) situations. N3 disease: What is the stage exactly? With 9 lymph nodes being +, his stage ranges from iib to iiic- with 5 year overall survival range from 33% to 9% with surgery alone. He would be ideally needing an adjuvant therapy post surgery- however the case is not that simple. His age and other medical problems have to be calculated. Eating only 2 wholemeal bread, 1 small pack of jacob's, 3 ordinary biscuit & 4 digestive biscuit for whole day. is it healthy? my friend is on diet.
NOT healthy at all!: I have no idea what jacob's is but everything else your eating is bread/ starches. The healthiest diet (for both weight loss and good health) is to eat mostly vegetables & fruits with healthy protein and to minimize starch. You don't seem to be eating any veggies/fruit & eating mostly starch, the opposite of a healthy diet! My favorite diet is Dr. Fuhrman's Nutritarian- see http://bit.ly/1dHW9hT ...Read more
